5/11/12
p>Layer 3 Communications has begun an exciting new partnership with Texas A&M University to replace their
existing legacy Cisco wireless network with a brand new top of the line 802.11n Aruba Networks wireless
solution. Texas A&M currently has approximately 50,000 students and 2,700 faculty all of which will be
provided for under the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) wireless architecture being supported on campus by
Layer 3 Communications (
news article).
Students and teachers will be able to connect their personal devices to the
campus wireless network with ease. The major determining factors in the selection of the Aruba wireless
solution being supported by Layer 3 communications was stability and performance of the Aruba AP-125 platform.
